Well Water Testing:
Purchasing a home with a well? Well water testing is required to obtain a mortgage. For a conventional mortgage, coliform bacterial testing is a minimum requirement. Mortgages backed by FHA, HUD or the VA have more minimum testing requirements. The test required for these mortgages are coliform bacteria, lead (first flush), nitrate and nitrite. Most mortgage companies in this area often look for a “Well Flow” test as well. This test is accomplished by running the well at a determined rate and time. The results are documented in Vivid’s Well Functionality Report. If you are obtaining one of these mortgages and have a well, give me a call, text to 518-817-9501 or email vividinspects@gmail.com. I would be happy to go over pricing for any additional well water testing requirements.
